Audio Filter Resonator

Modal resonator bank using parallel bandpass filters tuned to harmonic or inharmonic partials. Produces bell-like, metallic, drum-like, or string-like resonances when excited by impulses or audio signals.

Settings

bypass

Bypasses the module processing when activated (ON).

  • OFF (0): Module processes normally
  • ON (1): Input passes directly to output without processing

in

Audio input flow(s).

out

Audio output flow(s).

frequency

Fundamental frequency in Hz. All partials are tuned relative to this pitch.

decay

Decay time, from 0 to 1. Controls how long the resonances ring. Higher values produce longer sustain.

brightness

Higher partials level, from 0 to 1. Controls the relative amplitude of upper partials. 0 = fundamental only, 1 = all partials at equal level.

mode

Partial ratio pattern:

  • harmonic: partials at 1x, 2x, 3x, ... (string, pipe)
  • metallic: inharmonic ratios of a vibrating bar/plate (bells, gongs)
  • drum: ratios of a circular membrane (Bessel function zeros)
  • string: harmonic with slight inharmonicity (stiff string)
