Audio Filter Comb

Comb filter with feedforward and feedback paths. Creates equally-spaced notches or resonant peaks in the spectrum. Useful for flanging, Karplus-Strong synthesis, and metallic resonance effects.

Settings

bypass

Bypasses the module processing when activated (ON).

  • OFF (0): Module processes normally
  • ON (1): Input passes directly to output without processing

in

Audio input flow(s).

out

Audio output flow(s).

frequency

Sets the fundamental frequency of the comb pattern in Hz. This determines the spacing between the spectral peaks/notches.

feedforward

Sets the feedforward amount, from -1 to +1. Controls the FIR comb component, creating notches in the spectrum.

feedback

Sets the feedback amount, from -0.99 to +0.99. Controls the IIR comb component, creating resonant peaks in the spectrum. Negative values invert the comb pattern.

damping

Sets the damping amount, from 0 to 1. Applies a one-pole lowpass filter in the feedback path, progressively attenuating high frequencies at each repetition.
