Usine provides a collection of audio effect modules covering delays, modulation, and granular processing. For distortion effects, see the dedicated Distortion section.

Delay Effects

Audio Delay Amplitude Time Multi delay Array-driven delay and amplitude for WFS (Wave Field Synthesis) applications, max 1000 ms

Modulation

Chorus Chorus Multi-stage chorus with configurable stages (1-8), drift, and speed
Phaser Phaser 6-stage all-pass phaser with LFO rate, depth, and feedback
Pitch Shifter Pitch shift Three algorithms (Granular, Phase Vocoder, Delay Crossfade) with ±24 semitone range and fine-tune in cents
Octave Divider Pitch effect Creates pitched octave shifts from incoming audio

Granular

Module Type Character
Granulator Grain processor Real-time granular processor with configurable grain envelope (linear ASR, Bezier, raised cosine), interval, pitch, and duration

Choosing the Right Effect

For time-based effects:

  • Audio Delay for classic echo and feedback delay
  • Audio Delay Cloud for multi-tap delays with spatial positioning
  • Chorus for thickening and detuning
  • Phaser for sweeping notch modulation

For pitch effects:

  • Pitch Shifter for transposing audio up or down (3 algorithm modes)
  • Octave Divider for sub-octave generation

For creative sound design:

  • Granulator for real-time grain processing with visual feedback
