Reverbs

Usine provides three complementary reverb modules, each with a different approach to reverberation: algorithmic, convolution, and procedural impulse generation. All three are multi-channel.

Comparison Table

Module Type Latency Character
Reverb Algorithmic Zero Classic algorithmic reverb with room size, damping, freeze, and channel separation controls
ReverbConvolver Convolution (IR file) Zero Zero-latency convolution reverb using external impulse response files, with IR size scaling and normalization
ReverbGenerator Procedural impulse Zero Generates impulse responses algorithmically with control over decay curve, density, air absorption, and early reflections

Choosing the Right Reverb

For quick, classic reverb:

  • Reverb for a simple algorithmic reverb with freeze capability for infinite tails

For realistic spaces:

  • ReverbConvolver for loading real-world impulse responses (concert halls, studios, plates, etc.)

For flexible space design:

  • ReverbGenerator for designing custom reverb spaces without needing external IR files, with precise control over density, decay shape, air absorption, and early/late reflection balance
