Audio Analysis Transient Detector

Detects audio transients and sends a trigger output. Uses dual envelope following with slope detection for minimal latency. Works on percussive sources (drums, beats) as well as softer onsets (voices, strings).

Settings

Audio input flow(s).

threshold

Detection threshold in dB. Used when auto threshold is off. Lower values increase sensitivity.

auto threshold

When enabled, automatically adjusts the detection threshold based on the average signal level. The detector uses both level ratio and slope (rate of rise) to catch transients. Recommended for signals with varying dynamics.

retrigger

Minimum time in milliseconds between two consecutive triggers. Prevents double-firing on the same transient.

trigger

Sends a 1 value when a transient is detected, 0 otherwise.

envelope

Current value of the fast envelope follower. Useful for monitoring the detection behavior.
