Data Generator Pattern

Generates arrays from mathematical formulas. Creates lookup tables, waveshapes, and mapping curves procedurally. The output array is regenerated whenever a parameter changes. Useful for filling sequencer patterns, building wavetables, or generating test signals.

Settings

out

Generated array output.

pattern

Pattern type to generate:

  • sine: sine wave.
  • cosine: cosine wave.
  • triangle: triangle wave.
  • sawtooth: sawtooth wave (ascending ramp).
  • square: square wave.
  • gaussian: Gaussian bell curve centered at the midpoint.
  • noise: random values.
  • ramp up: linear ramp from min to max.
  • ramp down: linear ramp from max to min.
  • constant: all values set to param.

size

Number of elements in the generated array (1 to 65536).

min

Minimum value of the output.

max

Maximum value of the output.

param

Pattern parameter. Its meaning depends on the selected pattern:

  • For wave patterns (sine, cosine, triangle, sawtooth, square): number of cycles in the array.
  • For gaussian: bell curve width.
  • For constant: the constant value.
