Data Generator LFO

Low Frequency Oscillator (LFO). Generates a periodic data signal with selectable waveform, frequency, and range. Use it for cyclic modulation of any parameter (filters, panning, volume, effects, visuals).

Settings

on

Activates or deactivates the module.

out

Output Data flow(s).

synchro

Synchronization options which determines the way the object is triggered, or the sequence is played.

Generally the following options are available:

  • button: when the button play receives a 1 trigger,
  • interval: according the interval fader,
  • duration: according the duration fader,
  • loop: the sequence is played in a loop mode,
  • cycle: each beginning cycle,
  • bar: each beginning bar,
  • beat: each beat,
  • 8th: each 1/8th,
  • etc.

frequency

Oscillator frequency. frequency = 1/period.

period

Oscillator period. period = 1/frequency.

min

Minimum value of the output.

max

Maximum value of the output.

type

Oscillator waveform.

  • Sinus: smooth sine wave.
  • Triangle: triangle wave.
  • Rectangle: square wave (alternates between min and max).
  • Impulse: short impulse spikes.
  • Sawtooth: ascending ramp.
  • Sawtooth inverse: descending ramp.
  • Random: random value at each cycle (sample-and-hold style).

restart

Restarts the LFO from the beginning of its cycle.

phase

Phase shift from -1 (-pi) to +1 (+pi). Use this to offset the LFO relative to other oscillators or to a clock.

restart trigger

Fires a trigger each time the LFO restarts its period.

audio rate

Force the output to be compatible with audio flows: an array of a BLOC SIZE to get a more precise and smooth output.
