Procedure On Execution

Sends a trigger at the beginning of each procedure execution cycle. Place this module inside a procedure patch to detect when the procedure is called by a procedure-call.

The trigger fires once per loop iteration: if the procedure-call loop count is set to 10, this module will fire 10 times — once at the start of each iteration.

Settings

trigger

Outputs 1 on the processing cycle where the procedure starts executing, then returns to 0 on the next cycle. Fires on every loop iteration, not just the first one.

Common errors

Trigger fires on every loop iteration, not once per call If the procedure-call has a loop count greater than 1, the trigger fires at the start of each iteration. To detect only the very first iteration, combine this module with a procedure-loop-counter and check that the loop index is 0.

No effect outside a procedure This module only works inside a procedure patch. If placed in a regular patch, it behaves like an on-activation module and fires when the patch is activated, which is probably not the intended behavior.
