Envelope filter (Auto-Wah) inspired by Mu-Tron III. A resonant filter whose cutoff frequency follows the input signal's amplitude.
An envelope filter detects the amplitude of the incoming audio and uses it to sweep a resonant filter's cutoff frequency. Playing harder pushes the filter higher, creating expressive wah-like effects without a foot pedal. The Mu-Tron III, famously used by Stevie Wonder and Jerry Garcia, is the quintessential example of this effect.
Bypasses the module processing when activated (ON).
Audio input flow(s).
Audio output flow(s).
How much the input envelope affects the cutoff frequency. Higher values produce more dramatic filter sweeps.
Envelope attack time in ms. Controls how quickly the filter responds to transients.
Envelope release time in ms. Controls how quickly the filter returns to the base frequency after the input level drops.
Base cutoff frequency in Hz. The filter starts from this frequency and sweeps upward according to the envelope.
Filter resonance in %. Higher values create a more pronounced peak at the cutoff frequency, producing a more vocal, quacky character.
Filter mode selector: low-pass, band-pass, or high-pass. Low-pass gives the classic wah sound; band-pass is more vocal; high-pass produces thinner, more cutting sweeps.
Dry/wet blend. 0 = dry (unprocessed input), 1 = fully filtered.
