String Get Token

Gets a token from a string according a separator.

in        = 'my name:john'
separator = ':'
out       = 'my name'
rest      = 'john'

Settings

Input string(s).

out

Output string(s).

rest

Original string with the token deleted.

separator

Token char separator. Can be a string containing multiple separator chars.

string mode

When OFF (default), each character in separator acts as an independent delimiter:

in          = 'title:Hello,content here'
separator   = ',;:'
string mode = OFF
out         = 'title'
rest        = 'Hello,content here'

Here ,;: means each character (,, ;, :) is an independent delimiter, so the first : is used to split the string.

When ON, the separator is treated as a complete substring:

in          = 'title: Hello---content here'
separator   = '---'
string mode = ON
out         = 'title: Hello'
rest        = 'content here'

This is useful for splitting text around multi-character delimiters like ---, //, ::, etc.
