Usine cpu use

I am really new to using Usine and do not have the full version.

I have just tried some demo projects, as i still don't understand clearly how everything works and where to start, but on my Asus laptop (p4@2.6ghz 512ram, m-audio asio drivers 384 samples latency) the cpu gets high very quickly while playing the demo song (with a beat, a synth bass, and a delay with some automation).

Is there any "benchmark" about Usine cpu needs ?
Is it the host itself which is a bit hungry ? Or some native plugins ? Is my computer too old (i use it daily for projects using 20+ audio tracks with real time efx and several vsti without a problem) ?

The demo song is not a good example.
A recent machine can do the job.
Also the sound card driver is very important.

I give CPU load of the demo on some computers at home

- Core2 duo 2.0Ghz + 2G ram + RME fireface latency 128 --> 10%
- Athlon 3400 + 1G ram RME Hamerfall latency 256 --> 8%
- P4 2.4Ghz + 512M ram + Builtin card + asio4 all --> 74%

The performances on my machine are more or less like the last one (it is also P4 512 ram). Going from 74 to 8% is amazing.
I guess le père noel will need to bring some flat present with lcd screen in a few months...
