Hello Usiners !

i have spent one month working on my EEE pc( i was on holidays) in order to prepare a musical performance. Unfortunatly the asio4all driver is not working properly, so i have been working with cracks and many micro stops !!!! i would like to know if someone know where i can find the "steinberg asio multimedia driver". i couldn't find it yet.

Thanks

in my experience asio4all works only if u set the latency very high.
still, its not a professional solution. imho, if u go on stage, get urself a dedicated audio interface (eg. m-audio is cheap, RME is among the best) and use the driver that comes with the interface.

steinbergs multiclient driver: as inidicated by gurulogic in the thread below

hello,

tanks for yr advice but i already have a proper audio equipment (motu, big dell pc etc....) , the thing is that i'm travelling a lot for my work, and i can't take my big dell pc and my motu..... So i'm using a very small configuration in usine like two tracks.... what i did before was to use usine as a vst plug-in in Ableton live so i was able to use a different asio driver, and it works far more better than with the asio4all. But as the eee pc is quite weak i'm loosing cpu opening Live :( . That's why i"m looking for the Steinberg asio multimedia driver because it will work properly......

Have you tried different versions of asio4all and/or tried different settings? In my case, I haven't been able to make anything newer than 2.7 work.

BTW, is there some confusion between multimedia and multiclient going on here?

Yes, i tried different settings but i didn't try different version ! i will try that. I really talk about the steinberg asio multimedia driver which is automaticly installed when u install Cubase. On my opinion it is a very good audio driver !!! but hard to find !!! But i had an idea yesterday nite :my girl friend bought few month ago the native instruments sound card for her and on the installation cd i remember having seen a Cubase LE demo. So i will install the demo version without using it but i am sure i will be able to use the Cubase drivers.
So if you are tired of Asio4all this solutioncan be a solution.
