Hi all,

i'm using Usine to process midi traffic between a BCR2000 and Cubase; i have two knobs on two different tracks which receive the same midi message from cubase through midiyoke - after a few minutes of use, they stop responding the incoming message...
Any suggestion/pointing towards similar threads? Basicly it shouldn't be different from receiving a controller on a physical MIDI IN...
Quick description: I have installed 8 Midiyoke "cables", there are 8 MIDI IN active ports (4 physical, 4 MidiYoke) in Usine, the "first incriminated" knob is on track 1 (in which only MIDI IN 1 is active, which is BCR2000), the second is on track 2 (only MIDI IN 5 is active, which is MidiYoke5) - Midi in remote is set on "no channel=track assignement" (don't remember if it's the correct wording!)

Ciao&thanks,

Francesco

unfortunately, no idea!
it can come from:
- midi yok
- usine patch
- usine midi in/out
- cubase midi in
- driver conflict

maybe you can try to isolate the main cause of your problem in the list above?

You are right...too much things together! yesterday i realized that probably in the patch remote panel of the two knobs, the "remote" button was off - switching it on seemed to solve the problem (gonna check again), maybe it was just the right thing to do.....

Hi, I did some trials - the output msg from cubase is correct (checked with MidiOX), the problem should not depenf on MIDIYoke (it happes even using a hardware MIDI in/out, i.e. cubase outputs on the MIDI OUT of the soundcard, which is cabled to the soundcard's MIDI IN, activated in Usine)....

maybe it depends on the fact that i'm using relative CCs, and the "type" of relative (you know, 2's complement, etc)....
