In my need for a flexible multi track recording system in Usine, I have made a 16 stereo tracks recorder, that saves each track to disk as a separate audio file for easy import to other programs.

It seems like a suitable contribution to the addons section but I would like to put it up for review first to make sure it seems worthy and is bug free, and of course hear any suggestions for better functionality. Or perhaps there is already a similar addon that I haven't seen, and this might be reduntant?

For my own needs I will be using a version that uses audio buses for input, allowing me to tap in anywhere within my workspace, but the test version for now just has direct input. I could upload both if that seems to anyone?

Functionality:
-On switches 1-16 activate each track. Once activated, system memory will allocated for that sampler as determined by the max rec time slider. When a track is deactivated, the buffer is cleared for that track and rec time is set to 0 to save memory.

-The Record switch arms active tracks for recording. Recording begins when Usine synchro (Play) begins, and stops either when syncho stops or max rec time is reached.

-Prefix is a click and enter value, this enables labeling each audio file (plus random generated characters) before saving to disk.

-Save directory at bottom is a click and enter value. Direct this to where you want the audio files saved when pressing the "Save" button. All enabled tracks will be saved.

-The Clear button clears all buffers..

-Play, pause and stop, hmm.. These would be used for reviewing your recorded take ;)

A couple notes, a max rec time of 1200 seconds (20 minutes) with all tracks active uses about 6.5GB of system ram so be carefull not to overload your system.
Also, all audio files are 32 bit, I am not sure there is any way to change to 24 or 16 bit?

Here is the patch
