Indicator that New Add-ons are available?

Would be cool if there was an indication somewhere that said New Add-ons are available.
Could check the database against the internal one and if different just throw up the message or indicator light.

For my 2 cents, as someone who only has my DAW computer online when absolutely necessary, I would like to see better addons management via web browser. The current method of showing simply the 100 latest addons is a bit limited IMO. Would be nice to brows online by category again.
