I have a midi interface that is a little flakey, so I like to verify that it's working each time I start up.
My wkp takes a long time to open, so in HH, I have to open an empty wkp in order to open a console in order to verify that the midi is all working.
If I could get a console button on the startup page, that would save a step. Sometimes setup time is short in live performance!
thx,

You could create a basic workspace with feedback to check your connections ?

but you still have to open it first, before opening the wkp you actually want to open.

I understand your problem but the console is for warrior user's. So a direct button on the startpage is not appropriate to the general ergonomics of Usine.

I have to be a warrior to monitor midi in?
really, you have to be a warrior to use usine at all.

I mean, once you've opened a wkp, there's the console. Who uses the software without opening a wkp?

Could it be added as a feature of 'God mode'? Which I have no clue what it does... One of these days I should try turning it on.

I'm thinking more as hidden string like 'console' than god mode.
Also the god mode will disappear from the setup in the next release. Will be replaced by another hidden string 'godmode'.

Will the godmode setting be remembered from one startup to the next? I hope so, as I've had it on since day one. It's a (wait for it) Godsend.
