Though the master input/output levels are saved, the individual gain levels sent to other racks are not - and because the internal bus sends add latency, this would seem the best (or only?) way to have variable submixes going into a rack (a shared effects chain for example) without adding latency. I'm new to this though, so please correct me if I'm wrong.

Has anyone measured the internal audio buss latency?
I'm wondering how far to bend over backwards to eliminate audio sends..... maybe I can figure out a test.....

The added latency for the internal audio bus is whatever the usine block size is.

wow, how did I use usine for years without knowing this!
I'm assuming this is also true for midi buss latency???
I WILL be bending over backwards!

I'll try to find something.

Well, I've rewired all my midi and audio to avoid busses.....
Only thing is, I don't know how that will impact processor loading, as now all my vsts will be in the same patch (only 4 so far, but eventually 16...) Will this cause a cpu load distribution problem?
If the latency is caused by the same functionality that allows cpu load distribution, maybe there's no way around it????

I just realized I hijacked this thread, oops sorry.....
