Hi,

would be nice to have a waveform display for the sampler with handles to modify start and end points of the loop

I know that some time it could be interesting to see the wave form.
But there are some problems:

1) It cost a lot of CPU just for drawing. Imagine multiple files in ?random? mode you will have to repaint each time it changes?
2) If you select the ?File location? option you have to read the entire file before drawing the wave form. Cost a lot of CPU and disk access, incompatible with a live utilisation.
3) The actual sampler is very light and has many unusual features. But, it does not replace a classic S1000 emulation. Personally, when I need a precise sampler I use a virtual like Kontact, or any one that you can find for free on the net.

Anyway, can add this functionality in those cases:
1) sample loaded in memory in ?single? mode
2) Recorded sample.
