I have been using HH 3.115 all summer, and it has been pretty stable. I think it has crashed 4 or 5 times (down from 4 to 5 times a gig with V5!!) but they haven't even actually been crashes.
What happens is I get 'error process' messages pumped to the console with every cycle. Even though I can play, I can't control my wkp because the console keeps topping. But before long, HH gets bogged down (cpu overload) with this huge list, and so I have to restart. I know of no way to tell if the bogging down is caused by the error or the logging of the error.....
I like knowing when there is an error process. Although since HH tells me nothing about where it comes from, it's no help beyond knowing I'll need to restart HH asap. And there is no value in seeing it more than once.
But if there was a way to suppress these messages, maybe I could keep playing until the end of the song, which would be a more graceful time to shut down.
If there were a way to route the console output via a CONSOLE module, I could write a script that would filter these messages (after the first few, which are actually helpful) and also display console messages in my wkp somewhere that they are not in the way. The script could store the last few lines and send that to a text area, for instance. You would want to be able to disable the existing console in this case.
Other options....
a setting to not top the console for errors (less helpful--it is good to see the error)
A setting to supress duplicate messages
Some indication which module is causing the errors?????? Then maybe I could figure out what's happening.
As I say, this has happened 5 times in a hundred plus hours of gigging, so it's not a very debuggable problem...I have never been able to get it to happen at home (well, except when I am patching, and of course I expect that-- it's usually pretty obviously from something I've just done.)
I am hoping it might be better with an actual release version, but I can't test that until I figure out what's broken with the PM (see previous thread)

hi,
- many bugs have been solved since v115 !!
- usine should not crash ! if it's so, please try to isolate and send a bug report. A bug I can reproduce is solved immediately.
- in the next release the error trace will try to find where the error comes from without guaranty (ie: if the memory has been crashed by a script).
- the console can be reduced to avoid total overlap of the wkp.
hide the console looks dangerous for me.
