Is there a way to turn the new (as of 3.5) vst sync mode off? i couldn't find a way in the preferences but i'm not sure i haven't missed it. i've been using audio tracks in energy xt2's sequencer as an ableton style sync'd audio looper, but the new mode makes it play continuously rather than looping for (say) 2 bars etc..
I had a couple of feedbacks about this subject. I need time to find the best solution.
If you can't wait, the solution:
- select sequencer mode
- choose 'bar mode'
- put a loop marker at the bar 2 or 4 or whatever

Hey Senso, you beat me to it; I didn't see that you had answered before I submitted my reply (with the same solution) - which I deleted...
What about a switch on the synchro module. Something like "vst sync to cycle"? It would mean that the vst sync would just loop the first bars, but to me that seems ok, as more complicated behaviour would be accomplished by using the loop markers solution.

yes it's a good solution.
but maybe as an option in the setup? The synchro panel is already very dense?

thanks for the quick reply, i thought there'd have to be a way
A setup option could work, but the downside would be that it's more "trouble" to change it; one might want to use both in different workspaces.
Then again I don't see the need to have each and every parameter of the syncro module visible on the dashboard, especially not when they aren't of a kind that one normally wouldn't change often. But maybe Clearscreen or some other users that (unlike me) actually uses this have an opinion on whether this should be implemented, and if so how?

i'd be happy with an option in the setup menu. was there a problem with other vst's that required this sync mode? just curious what they were in case i'm going to create other problems for myself...
also, i had a poke around on the XT2 forum and if you disable the sequencers 'external sync' it loops fine, but not in any way sync'd to the host program - not particularly useful...
