Hi
I have a problem with video player, the player plays my video faster than the normal speed and i didn't touch the speed bouton.
The video format is .mp4 or .mov and it's the same result.
Does anyone have an idea ?
thanks

maybe sample rate of included audio doesn't match audio engine setting?

I had the same problem a few months ago. I didn't solve it but i should worked. So i synchronize Hollyhock and Cubase. Compose the sound with HH and Cubase and read the video with the Cubase video player.
There wasn't any sound in the video that i try to play with HH. It was a H264 .mov video.
I am interesting if you find the reason why it plays faster.
Thank you.

humm, It should not.
Or maybe only few frames faster.
For a test, open the same video in vlc et usine and try to start them at the same time (almost).
ps:you can also adjust the video speed on the player itself it can help.

Hi.
i have a problem with the video player. The FPS is not stable ? there is some variation between 22 and 25 FPS. I play the video on a 2nd screen thru a video projector.
I don't have any external clock or SMPTE generator. Only my laptop MacBook Pro retina, Mac OS 10.12
Thank you.

try to set the audio engine speed to the fastest as you can in the setup.
for example 200fps.
this will improve the global video engine speed and so the precision.
your 25fps videos will stay at 25fst, but the engine will respond faster.

Be careful, it increases the CPU load...

If I'm not mistaken, videos are decoded in same way they will with any video player by default, meaning if dGPU decoding is enabled for certain codecs, it should also offload to dGPU in Usine?

yes we use the ffmpeg library to decode videos. This library uses GPU if needed independently the settings of Usine.

I think that it comes from the codec of the video. Can you try to convert it into another format ?

The video engine totally rewritten in the next major release. Much more powerful and efficient.
