Hello everyone,

I'm using Usine like a pedalboard, a Ampli Bank, a sequencer and a looper at the same time.

So,
i have lot of settings to control like the Gain or the volume of the amplificateurs. The settings of my diffrents footswitchs, etc...

After my research online the best i could find in stores is something like :
The Arturia Beatstep Compact Pad Controller


Because i need only faders and/or knob and i can't find my happiness maybe someone sell this can of equipment ?

..on the cheaper side there would be the Behringer BCR 2000..



I've got a Doepfer Pocket Dial..very well built but hard to come by these days..

A nice feature is the motorized option, really useful, as the bcr2000. Consider also the xtouch mini, 2x8 Knobs, and 2x16 switch, one fader

got Akai lpd8 wich got similar knobs. they are good for precise tuning, but (imo) for fast grabing and reaching min-max values, the default knobs caps are a bit too small in height.
I personally just changed the caps for bigger ones, then very happy.

I'm just happy that Usine embraces multitouch, so I don't have to use any external midi equipment at all. Main selling point for me.

Well, since my laptop have touchscreen I can just build suitable UI in Usine to control everything I need directly, using up to 10 fingers at once if needed.

There are some good options, but I'd be suspicious of Akai personally. I've had bad experiences with their build quality.

If you want something with lots and lots of knobs and faders and fantastic build quality, I like my Vestax VCM600. They're cheap now if you can find them. Unbelievably well-built, but big and heavy.

Same here. That was the whole point. A master keyboard and Usine.
Although sometimes its easier to grab a real knob than use a touchscreen live ...

well it takes some practice and setting up controls in the interface in a more intuitive and ergonomic way, and there's IB page for that.
I had to use Touch_Fader add-on for precise and relative control input before, but now finally all basic controls have relative/absolute switch and precision control.

few gripes I have with hardware knobs:
it's hard to get fast 0-100/100-0 turns, unless you have endless rotation and steep precision curve setting, which gets to the second problem - even on normal knobs sometimes I feel like they lack precision (and with usual 0-127 limit they will), and it's kinda pain to set up an acceleration-to-precision ratio, even if there is such a setting. and the most obvious thing - you usually occupy the whole hand for a single knob, which is a waste. I guess you can focus better on whatever you're doing with that knob, but then again, not much point with 0-127 resolution and you can train yourself at focusing on controlling several knobs at once.
