Can somebody tell me the difference? In the wiki docs there is no 'apply and reset' option.

thanks,

If you open the console and try this button, you'll see that apply and reset apply the polyphony and reset/ rebuild all ID’s:

Same as rebuild all ID's
Each patch shared on the local network use its own ID (identification number). If you experience issues (specially with Wifi connection) of patches that don’t send informations to the good target, this button will rebuild all these id’s.

there's also a difference in the way Usine rebuilt the patch when using the apply and reset : it's the same action than when you create the polyphony the first time:
samplers have all the same sample, layout are all in the same place etc...
so to resume
apply polyphony when you made minor changes
apply and reset when you want rebuilt all from scratch

I've updated the wiki page :
Polyphonic sub patch

So the use case for 'Apply polyphony' (if you already have set polyphony once) is that the changes you've made to the patch ( through "voice 1") will be applied to the other voices? So a way to make changes to all voices without resetting?

This is great! I've always rest to 1 voice, made the changes, and then applied again to more voices. This of course means I have to re-do the setup.

Thanks for the info, all! Seems like I've been using the reset option a lot of times when I didn't need to.....

But it brings up the fact that I don't really understand rebuild IDs. One thing I note is that I get a lot of warnings about duplicate IDs when I reset poly.

But is it true then that IDs don't matter if you are not using a remote protocol?
