Hi there!

I'd like to use the (grain) sampler to arbitrarily move through sound files via some external control, the problem here is that changing the position results in some audible clicks. How would you approach this (the best would be ,of course, if all samplers used some internal fading when changing the sample pos)? I am currently experimenting with using two samplers, both being delayed (sampler 1: control delay, sampler 2: audio delay) and fading between them. The fade being controlled by an envelope. The results are not always satisfying, so... how would you approach this? I havent looked into usine scripts (fastscript?) but one other idea would be to fade between the samplers only on zerocrossings...

cheerio!

not always an easy task,
first tip could be to reduce the max you can your Usine bloc size in the setup.
you can also have a look in the Sergio Slicer , which analyze the sounds to create the markers and explore some add-ons from the 5.80 version in the samplings tool section

the old V5 smooth joggle pack will be updated for hollyhock very soon. It does this kind of things.
