I have to buy a computer for someone to work with audio and video.
in your opinion what is the best choice :

IMO Acer isn't a reliable choice, known to be fragile, so apple is the sturdy choice... even if I will never buy apple myself for other reasons
Do you really want to buy a new computer ? I've always bought 2nd hand professional laptops : dell latitude, HP elitebook, lenovo thinkpad...
I bought a HP elitebook for 450€ (sturdy, 1 year old, 2 years warranty, i7, USB3...). I've upgraded to 16go ram and 256go SSD for 250€.

I just retired my 5 year old elitebook, least trouble I've ever had with a laptop! I tried to replace it with an acer... VERY bad move, it was refunded under warranty after a few months of trouble. Went with asus this time, mostly for a better screen, but still not sure I shouldn't have replaced it with an 8570w or an 8470w elitebook...
