hello guys,
I finally begin the real work with usine, and it's really really exciting.
I noticed one thing, and want you to confirm.
When i'm in the patch design mode and manipulate moduls and connexion while playing, the tempo have some variations (not on the slider screen, but with the ear).
Maybe it's the way the sound engine work, but it suprise me because i think i'll practice a lot of this kind of working session (moduls and connexion while playing).
Not dramatic but i want to confirm my ears are ok.

hello,
I've never noticed this kind of problem on my sytems. Normally, the synchro is calculated according to the ASIO timing.
It means that if you ear some tempo modulation you must also ear audio clicks.
It can append on slow computer with "heavy" patches.
But,
I'll will check-it deeper, to see if something like that append in some situations.

Hello.
For still a few weeks, I work with an old AMD Athlon 1.2GHz...
And, yes, when in patching mode, I meet some bad audio surprises like cracks, micro flow interruptions, strange behavior of my genius note mapping, and sync hiccough in sequencer mode... I actually use those symptoms as indicators: if my workspace runs in patching mode, it'll be cool on stage!
But I must confess that I am impatient to run my new racing machine...
What's your config? Perhaps it's the point, no? On KVR, you would answered: "Buy a Mac"... Hu-hu-hu...
Congratulations for your "real work with Usine": it rocks.

well,
it should not be my config, it's a new fresh computer with a core 2 duo and 2Go of ram. And the patch used is far from complex.
I didn't ear any audio cliks or wathever, just this tempo modulation, very tiny but enough to make me feel "hey, there is something wrong". This is not the case when i'm in grid or live mode
I'll do some test with a relaxed ASIO setting, but i'm using the Asio4All driver, maybe it's just that....
anyway, first groove session with usine and a drum what excellent
A+

hmm, still this Asio4All bad joke... I hope I'll never have to use it...

well, not so a bad joke.
Without this driver, i can't use my soundcard for now, and maybe it's just a bad parameter tweaking.
Groove session, hu-hu-hu. Good, good. Excellent.
In fact, i'm not a "musician", i never studied or practiced music before. But i made some kind of experimental test years ago (with SynCmodular and AnalogBox II), and i was always interested by "the sound".
A friend of mine, who is drumer, want to try something after he listened my loosy track, so here we go, and usine is perfect for wath we want to do.
I'm so exited to investigate this new world
