Hello dear Usiners!

Do you know, is there a way to use a USB Number Pad (or USB PC Keyboard) as a midi input device? I mean, I know that there are such applications (like Bome's Virtual Keyboard) but I was thinking of having the USB Number Pad as a dedicated Midi Input device (which shows up in the Preferences Window for example like a "normal midi controller")?? Maybe, there is a sort of driver out there??

Thanks in advance!

yes, but i was thinking of using more keyboards at once... and so I would love to have them as different midi input devices... because windows always just recognices one key...

When I have 2 keyboards connected, and I press [t] on the first keyboard it is the same as on the second keyboard... the message is always the [t].... but maybe with CapsLock it would work though...

Any ideas?

artificial.

Hey guys, this may a bit off topic, but I am also looking to use Usine with a midi controller of sort...

I'm interested in using Usine in a live setup. I'm a drummer and want to use Usine with my rack gear to trigger audio samples via midi (drum module). Is this possible? The set up consists of: drum triggers-->alesis dm4 drum module-->Tascam us-1641 (MIDI)-->laptop-->Usine + Audio Samples-->Tascam us-1641(Audio out)

Thanks in advance!

don't see any problem here..
Usine can manage midi message or even use sound to midi way easily..;-)

I have buy a 2nd usb keyboard but HID device don't detect any keyboard, keyboard in windows is maybe specific (no drivers). I know that some programs use the unique HID identification for keyboards isolation.
