Just wondering is a post like my changes on "Punch in Loops" to "Punch in Weird" usefull ?
What is the mean of adds-on ?
Is it a new module ?
May be there could be a new topic like "patch to share" where we may discuss the constructions of each other and share ideas, searches or advice... and just send our patches full (if there a construction and realationship between tracks) or watever to share
(english is a hard "out of reality" time for me at this time)
Any way my question is : "where is the border between sharing updating ?" just the positive way of the question ...
What about add-ons ?

Not quite answering any of your questions, but..:
Maybe the name "Add-on" has become misleading. I guess that in the beginning in was more appropriate, since it was a way for Olivier to offer something extra to all the demo patches and stuff that are already in the downloads. Plus of course another reason to pay for the program.
The add-ons has expanded and changed, with other users uploading most of the new content I think, so I agree with you (if I understand you correctly) that it is more of a "patch-share" thing than "some extras to paying customers". Although I still think it should be reserved for Gold Members, maybe it's time for a new name for this section?
Now to your last question:
I see your point in trying to distinguish between an "original" patch and another which is based on that. In your case you've based an add-on on one of mine, which I must admit I only find flattering.
I don't really have any strong feelings on how much change there should be to a patch before it may qualify as a new add-on. In my case - when I create complex patches for the add-ons section - I don't really expect anyone else to use them without at least some modifications. Actually, I mostly modify them myself!

Can't answer to your question grego mondo, but concerning patch shring, as a G2 modulat owner, i can say the forum on electro-music is really great. Everyone can upload patch and share them freely with the community...I believe that patch sharing should be available to everyone, and add-ons only for gold members.

You're right the add-ons section looks actually more like a "sharing community".
Historically, I wanted to create a basic version of Usine and add a lots of "user modules" to download and improve the soft.
I'm so late for the development of user module that it doesn't have a real sense to call it "add-ons".
I'll continue think about all of that.
Of course, I agree to create other sharing resources on the net. This discussion is very connected to an old topic about a new 'business' model for add-ons.
