I see, thank you, that helps!

I still have to manually re-enable each MIDI device one by one though. I still think it would be great if Usine remembered which MIDI devices I had enabled while they were present, and as soon as they become present again, re-enable them automatically.

Here's my suggestion, for something that would save me a hassle I seem to keep running into. I use Windows. If I ever accidentally start Usine without some of my MIDI devices plugged in, once I realise my mistake, I exit Usine, plug them in, and then restart Usine. However, Usine will have deactivat...

Topic: Best way to MIDI-control a plugin parameter?

Hi, I'm wanting to control some parameters of VST plugins with the rotary encoders on a MIDI controller. I've learned that I can create a Knob, assign that to my MIDI controller, and patch the Knob's output to my plugin's input for that parameter. However, suppose I then change that plugin parameter...

Thanks for the replies! It turns out that most VSTs actually do bypass virtually instantly - the one I was testing just had a slight delay. Silly - I should have tested more.

Thanks for your reply, I had a look. So there's no way to separate the MIDI data by device if the devices are sending the same kind of data, on the same channel? I can work around this if need be - it just would have been handy to have two *separate* MIDI inputs.

Hi, just wondering if there's any way that I could receive a separate "stream" of MIDI data from two or more separate MIDI devices within one patch. So far, it appears that in a patch, the "Midi in" module receives MIDI data from *all* of the MIDI inputs assigned to that patch. Apart from splitting ...

I've just started having a play around with Usine, and I love how powerful and flexible it is. One problem that I'm encountering, though, is that when you switch a VST plugin between "bypassed" and "not bypassed", say by patching a switch into its "bypass" input, there's about a quarter-second delay...
