Scratch that, I spoke too soon. No matter which program I set as the master, the timing is very stilted and produces extra notes. Are there any settings I can try in Usine that might help this? I tried changing bloc size but that doesn't seem to matter. I've demoed different settings in Reaper as we...

I've got a button in my patch's UI that I want to operate two ways. 1. If I click and hold the button, it will send it's ON value until I release the mouse. This can be done with the "mouse dwn" parameter. 2. I also want to be able to assign a MIDI or Key learn to the button, and have it respond as ...

There are a few things to do with upgrading that I think could use some improvement. I've mentioned this before, and I'll say it again; I think it would be really helpful if, instead of separate installations for VST, VSTi and standalone, they could all be packaged together and pull from the same re...

Designing a basic loop playback patch. pitch, pan, volume, etc. I realize that the volume and pan stuff is all contained in the little panel at the bottom of each track, but I want the controls large for easier use in a performance environment. I would like to be able to make use of the aux sends pr...

Hi. I'm trying to test various methods of achieving the same goal. What I was hoping to do was average out how much CPU use was reported over time for each patch, and compare that way. But as far as I can tell, there is no module that outputs CPU use. Is there anyway to accomplish what I'm after? Be...

Aside from the things outlined in the wiki, are there any guidelines you should follow to get the best performance from exported VSTs? Also: is there a way to reduce the number of parameters the VST is exported with? All the ones I export list 256 parameters, even if only the first three or four are...

Trying to sort out how to do this. What I want is to be able to click a button, have that open a windows explorer window, and locate a .dll file for an instrument to load into a particular place in a patch. I know this would be tricky, since different instruments could have different input/output se...

I put together a fairly simple patch. There are four sections, each of which can record the input and play it back with different panning volume and pitch. But for some reason, it will only record if it's track is in grid mode. I'm not sure what the issue is. If anyone would be so kind to look, I wo...

If I right click in a patch in grid mode and select Edit Layout, is there anyway I can have the color scheme I choose from the thumbnails be applied to all objects displayed in the patch window? Changing each object individually is time consuming, and sometimes alters other parameters (size, etc) th...

Decided to alter draw_sequence to better suit my needs, and this is what I came up with. Figured someone else might want to use it too.

Finally took the plunge and bought the pro version. Still trying to wrap my head around it. Here's one thing I'd like help with: Is it possible to have both Usine and Easine read from the same library? It's annoying to move from one to the other and then realize I need to dig into my VST folder to c...

Thanks for the advice. Used DPC, got a max latency of 2808 with Directsound and 1886 with Mbox. The program says both of these are fast enough to handle streams without dropouts. Restricted Reaper to one CPU, didn't appear to affect anything. The "Show VST" issue I mentioned only appears to affect i...

Hi there. I've been playing with Usine a bit, and I really enjoy it. When I am able to get it to work, that is. I'm not sure if I'm just missing something in trying to get Usine set up, but I keep running into roadblocks. First, I can't use it as a stand alone because whenever I close it, it blue sc...
