Re: Make HH as a VSTi with a twist

there is now solutions to to send audio/midi to other DAW's via some cheap plugins ? Ok, so I guess hack our own solution and hope the best that it stays futureproof is the only hope to see any future integration of Usine within other DAW? I also am still waiting for Usine to come back to having function as plugin in other DAW. Does not need to be the full blown version. As an integral part of my setup, I have program changes sent upon pattern change from a hardware sequencer (Elektron Octatrack) to my computer via a USB MIDI interface (MOTU Micro Express) where a preset manager in HH is triggered by the incoming program change to recall a specific program change me...

I am fond of the On Activation module for triggering actions when a patch is well.. Activated :) One example would be to trigger a preset manager when the patch is activated. In my setup, I use multiple root clones of a patch template within a rack which are activated/deactivated remotely via MIDI. ...

My very basic understanding is that in Hollyhock and most other multitrack DAW apps, CPU cores are assigned per track or "rack", so that essentially tracks 1-4 would utilize CPU cores 1-4. As far as threading goes I am less clear on how that works and how to find an optimal setting in Hollyhock for ...

The "use floating windows" option in the global setup helps a lot for me when using a small screen. My only real gripe in this regard is the info/settings panel that is constantly in my way. Would way rather have the panel only show when I choose.

Often when I am patching I have problems because the busses only transmit data when a value has changed This is a problem especially when receiving values to a patch that has just been enabled . I am assuming this is to save CPU but it would be useful if there were an option per bus to constantly se...

Would be handy if there were an inlet on the Current Patch Settings module that could be used to open the patch for editing. Or maybe there is another way to remotely open a specific patching window?

That doesn't do it. Main problem is every time I switch from no link to link, in a lot of different configurations I try, the rear volume is reduced. I did try setting my volume fader to only operate between -80 and 0 to avoid the +- math complications but still can't get something right.

Ok thanks. I will try to find time for an A/B test and see if both can work the same. I could remove a lot of create midi and related modules in my already too large workspace if I can better utilize the midi feedback and update function.

I do this by triggering a create MIDI module from the recalling preset outlet on the preset manager (wired to a 1 to 0 module so as to create the MIDI once the preset has fully loaded) and sending that as "feedback" to my controllers. I know, not exactly the solution you are looking for but it is a ...

I presumably could achieve a similar result with the heightpc inlet, but not sure if this would be recommended for realtime manipulation?

I'm not sure if anyone has mentioned these yet, but the portability factor is very appealing to me. 10 point touch too. The 10" is available on sale at a local retailer for $240 CAD, very tempting! The 15" is looking a bit rare to find, I think it must just be recently released. http://www.gechic.co...

No problem in Western Canada. Perhaps try through a proxy in another country? Could be a routing issue between the Sensomusic server and your location, things like this happen sometimes.
