Well I probably should have tried to figure out what was actually going on, but I solved the problem by downloading HH3 on another computer, copying the files onto a thumb drive and copying them over the originals on my laptop.

Yes, they are all wav files. the strange thing is this: they all work in the "drums" and "instrument" folders. then in the "loops" folder they work in the "drum loops" folder all the way down to the "popcorn" file. First I want to say that I am really enjoying HH3. There are several things that I am finding easier about working with it than HH2. One that keeps happening to me in HH3 involves the groove sequencer. It simply, and consistently, stops working after a couple minutes (I have it driving Battery).
