Many thanks for your help with this x.iso. Haven't had a chance to recreate the patch until now. Just setting it up for one parameter and it's working perfectly with an older VST that doesn't have midi learn.

Next I'll sort the arrays to control multiple parameters.

Many thanks again,

Andy

Thanks for your replies. I've previously used an external controller with a vst that didn't have midi learn by creating a fader and assigning it to the controller with midi learn. I used the same process for this software but although the vst is receiving the messages, it is not implementing them. T...

Hi, Can anyone advise on routing VSTs that output midi? I'm sure I'm missing something really simple with this but I just can't find a solution. I'm using SQ4 by Dialog Audio which is a 4 channel sequence processor used to automate filter cutoffs, volume etc. It outputs midI and CV data and can be u...

Hi, This is something I can't seem to figure out how to do and it's probably really simple. Whilst it's easy to switch between patterns manually with the up and down arrows, I'd like to be able to specify a sequence of patterns either sequentially or in a particular order, for example play pattern 1...

Many thanks drakh.

I really like Circleseq but don't have Battery as shown in the video, can I use it to control other drum synths or the midi sampler? Not sure how to configure the output as it only appears to output one or two midi notes .

Many thanks,

Andy

Many thanks for your reply Sephult. I looked at the routing in the original patch to get an idea but am still getting to grips with patching so wasn't exactly sure. Thanks very much for the modified version, I'll have a look at that in a minute. I'd really like a drum sequencer so I can use drum sam...

Just wondered how everyone sequences drum patterns in Hollyhock. One obvious way is to use a midi sequencer with drum samples loaded in and use a piano roll but this doesn't give much control over the sound. Using sequins6 or polyplex with a drum sequencer seems more flexible, I've tried a couple of...

I've been thinking there must be an easy way to do this - and there is. It's simply a case of connecting 're-starting' to 'next' on the sampler. This will also allow you to use flow control and switches if required. The wiki says re-starting Works properly only in Loop mode synchro. but I've not fou...

Many thanks for your reply.

The sequenced buttons seem to work better than the sequenced steps. The samples are quite long so I just need to figure out the correct synchro and timing settings otherwise it triggers the next sample too soon.

Many thanks,

Andy

Hi, I really love using Hollyhock II, it's opened up loads of creativity possibilities through the granulators, groove engines and automation. I've recorded numerous tracks in a range of different styles. I've also started looking into the massive potential provided by patching options. So I'd like ...

Didn't realise you could use a wii mote as a controller, I'm intrigued by the potential and will definitely look into this!
