And even more than that using Usine this way I can *compose* the parts in FL (as some of the "live" music is being played on midi devices to control VST instruments) while simultaneously sketching out the Usine parts.

If you get a message about a missing file, you can do a search for the file named, then manually edit it to be a .dll and it works just fine once you restart Usine.
And it's best if you open the new beta in standalone mode and configure your audio to be the same as the host that Usine VST version will be in.
You can, of course, just copy your old version's Default.ini file to the new version. You really should keep it backed up somewhere and then you don't have to reconfigure Usine every time a new version comes out. Cuz Olivier makes them so fast!
I am completely in love with it. It's nice for betatesting, too, a lot of plug-in developers are very happy to hear that their alphas and betas have working in Usine and in Usine VST IN FLStudio!
The way the automation works is brilliant, I love it.
One really useful trick I've found is
1) in Usine, CTRL-drag a wire from a VST's "show plug-in"
2) click the resulting button
3) on the right hand side, right-click the parameter "show VST" and select "VST parameter"
4) assign a parameter number and then you can toggle it in your DAW that hosts Usine
because, I'm not sure how it works, but even when Usine is hidden you can have the Usine-hosted VSTs appear over your DAW that hosts Usine VST. Very, very useful.
Thanks again, Olivier!

Usine Vst starts to be functional but still a beta version. Most of the reported bugs solved but suggestions aren't implemented yet.
We wanted to keep the 'Unzip & Play' spirit of Usine, so there is a self installation procedure which can be 'fragile'...
fixed bugs - bad sequencer template files - many memory crashes solved - the order of vst creation is now respected - short cuts works in all hosts - new vst parameters affectation available with a right click (in the same way than the midilearn) - the smpte position follows the host main position - midi flow doesn't work for channels greater than 1
