But maybe Clearscreen or some other users that (unlike me) actually uses this have an opinion on whether this should be implemented, and if so how?

It would mean that the vst sync would just loop the first bars, but to me that seems ok, as more complicated behaviour would be accomplished by using the loop markers solution.
