There is no easy solution the automatic "tetris" placement, its an hard algorithm.

So, please if there is a way to allocate the next free space to the next freshly activated item (TETRIS-style!) it would be absolutely fantastic! Or if this is not possible, it would help to arrange that the activated patch appears at a fixed/expected position where it could be found easily.

Perhaps there is a little trick to manage that???
