But the re-recorded one is always shorter, something like less than 1 ms..maybe it's the latency of the "is playing" or of the rec inlet ?
Anyway. Here come my question. If the missing part of the recorded sound is at the beginning, does just 1millisecond have importance for the transcients quality,( for i know they have a lot to do in the sound, even if they are very very short.) ? If it does, i will have to find a way to delete this latency. Feel free to tell me if i'm talking about a wrong problem,or not.
2nd question : how can i change the resolution of the recorder, which is set for now at 32bit ?

I wish to manipulate files which are already in the file list, with loaded samples, not just recorded.
My goal is to use a sampler like an audio editor, and be able to sort a huge number of audio files. (That's why i need to patch some automation ).[small][/small]

Maybe it has no solution for now. but i give my chance just in case. it could be a suggestion for the coming versions of hollyhock, or maybe someone has an idea, or has already scripted or patched something.
So, i'm looking for a way to save an audio file (loaded in the file list of any sampler) under a new name, but without openning the file list myself, and write the new name,etc.. i'd like it to become "patchable" ,in order to make this more automatical.
Any idea ?
