Ah, great, thanks for clarifying that.  I knew you could use import settings to update an install on the same machine, but I thought activation was tied to that specific machine.  Perfect! I would personally really appreciate some kind of off line activation option, since the server I use for production is strictly off line at all times, and I know this is still pretty standard practice in studios.  As it stands now, it looks like I won't actually be able to use the upgrade I just purchased on anything but the older laptop I use for web browsing.<br><br>Unless I am misunderstanding and it is possible to activate on one machine and then transfer the installation to a different machine.<br><br>EDIT:  Ok, I tried activating on my laptop and then copying it on to a thumb drive and running it on my off-line DAW and it does seem to still be active, but even before I activated it I never saw any kind of nag screen or indication that it was in demo mode so it's hard to tell.
