SET_VAR MYVAR "out"+DROP_SHORT_FILENAME it could be a good suggestion, I'll try to find time to implement it.

I am trying to build some efficient templates I hope to share along with. One of the main reasons is the creation of an input and output array for each plugin created as well as parameter names. By these means, I am trying to build a standard interface to allow parameter takeover for those plugins that don't respond to MIDI Learn. I think if I can get this implemented solid then I believe this will allow quick and creative interfacing without having to dig into patches for each plugin and create a ton of variations for different interfaces wanting to be used.

Anyone know the correct method for combining strings into one by variable?
