Verdict: RME are far away from others in terms of AN/NA conversions, Preamps & Drivers. The only ones that can give professional results. No hesitation. I don't know Focusrite, but why take any risks? RME has 10 years experience and it's important! When I need very precise Preamps, I rent them for a couple of days. It cost very cheap.

thought I would reply to myself on an article with just my topic concern if anyone is interested... as far as what I would like - the rme fireface 800... but ... $$$ considering the mackie f400 or the focusrite 10 i/o
