I'll upload them soon.
By controls, I meant sliders, etc that will go in the global window. And there are 18 vsts in my config.... always pushing the limit :/ I'd like to set up 8 sliders to control parameters for each vst via this method, but the CPU is prohibitive--I can't run over 15% cpu on my machine without getting dropouts
cheers--and thanks as always!

I want to find out if there are problems with my array handling. If you see anything problematic with my initialization or setting of arrays in this patch, I'd like to know..... the patch seems to work fine, but expanded to 7 controllers and 12 tracks, not so well at all!
Meanwhile I will search this forum. But it is very hard to debug when my WKP crashes windows in the first 30 seconds

Here are the big issues I've encountered: The passIfChanged method for syncing two controls does not work here, because of the delay between send and recieve. So it's necessary to make sure communication is always only one-way. From track to global upon selecting a new track, and from global to track thereafter. It would be nice if both controls could be active, but I have not found a way to do this in usine.
When the channel is changed, it is necessary to stop the data from the previous track from being sent to the newly selected track. FIXED
When the global window is closed, it needs to stop sending data to the selected track, otherwise its controls stop working. FIXED
When the global window is opened, it needs to get current data for the correct track. PROBLEMATIC
When data in a track is changed by the conductor, that needs to be reflected in the global window. Which means disabling its input until the conductor has sent data to the track, and then loading in the new data for the track. NOT WORKING NOW--HAS WORKED BEFORE, BUT NOT WITH ARRAYS
Currently, I'm having a problem that I'm seeing data (from a previous preset?) showing up, and I can't figure out where it's coming from, or how it's getting stored, and showing up in the data.... to create the bug, close the global window, change the conductor preset, and reopen the window. Data from the previously selected preset will populate the fader.
I'm hoping maybe someone (maybe with a better understanding of arrays? or scripting?) will see right away what's eluding me. Otherwise, this is a good chance for me to outline the problem for myself, and maybe it will be clear in the morning.....
Cheers, -eric
