Also it can now output k-rate variables through its parameters too so you can use Csound to automate Usine e.g as an LFO or create random numbers, envelopes etc.
Just need to finish the documentation off - I have started adding a page to the wiki documenting the module so you can read that in preparation now and I am working on an article for the Csound Journal that will also provide a good tutorial to using Csound in Usine. I am also adding examples too so let me know if there is examples you want to see or any aspects of Csound you would like explaining or tutorials for.

As of today I have completed all the features I wanted to add, now it is just a case of writing documentation, examples, wiki etc and finalizing the last few tweaks to the code. Not too long to wait now...

Csound's .csd files are just text files so you can use wordpad if you want.
I will upload the first beta version next week. So far it seems to be working fine for me and I am now just writing some basic examples to explain the user module but really it is very simple, it works just like any other usine module

It will add many, many, many features in Usine. Thanks for this module, I'm impatient to test it. senso+++
It has csound embedded in it and can open csound's .csd files.
Csound is probably the most powerful software synth/effect in existence. With csound running in usine you can create pretty much anything you can imagine!
It can be used to create effects and process audio in realtime. It also has realtime midi input support so it can be used to create and play synths etc. There are 4 generic params exposed to usine that are connected to csound's internal buses so you can automate csound directly from usine with LFOs etc. And if 4 buses plus midi isn't enough control you can communicate directly with the embedded csound instance from usine using OSC.
For anybody not familiar with csound it is based on a powerful yet simple scripting language. I will provide some examples with the user module showing how to communicate between csound/usine. For anyone wanting to learn more about csound feel there is an excellent book edited by Dr Richard Boulanger as well as a whole mountain of free tutorials on the internet. Plus I am happy to answer any questions
