i have monitors but i don't run them as im in a litle flat with aweful phasy room..but ive seen it's tricky with headphones.
for exemple, on soundsystems i really like to drop only some kick and bass and just subtle ambiance, find that works better
than having too much sounds, but when hearing on headphones the same seems 'empty' and not working.... dilemna.
i made some compare today and there are really paterns that work good with one but not the other and vice versa.
also on headphones man have tendency to push too much the bass, then it's muddy on loudspeaker.. :(

mainly infra bass and reverb are impossible to feel correctly on headphones or litle speakers, so it's really hard to
find a compromise of somehing to work on big subs PA as well as cheap ipod earphones buds...
and the music im after rely a lot infra bass ;)

I always have had similar problems with the mix:
it sounds nice with headphones, and unbalanced with loudspeakers.:(

being a bit repetitive and always speed, so i restarted a cleaner mix on a 8mn version with better composition that take more time to install and some pause before final load, more varying with subtle breaks, i start atlast to be happy. still lot of work, but final release should be much better than this one i hope...

it was one of my first trance cd but at that time i didn't really liked trance, i was more in dnb/hardtekno but now i rediscover
the way they evolved in psytrance and i dlike to find an in between the two scenes, cause i love and hate thingz in the
two genres, but that's quite harder to combine booth than i imagined..

yeah it was going to 9mn and i quick cut to make a end of first part of 5mn, normally i have a second part more speed in 4/4
(here it's 3/4 all along), but it need still lot of work.
or indeed i will cut at 4:34 otherwise if i finish only this part as an entity and make a new different track to go after that..

Still lot of work in mixing and composition (i mixed with headphones and i think there are pb, also squashing limiter)
but any comments/reviex/sugg welcome :)

Nb: this is done with ableton:rolleyes:, but usine has been higly involved as i made a CC looper to search my automations,
and few of the psy sounds where generated in usine VSTi to mess my vsts.
