Is there another way to affect all output channels without using the master section? No master mute or volume controls in your wkp?
For me, when I am using usine live, I want a full master section with control from within the wkp, but when I am testing a module with a new empty wkp, I want the simple default master section.
The other problem with the current setup is that it's easy to lose master settings--when you save the wkp, it's not at all obvious you will not be saving the master--the master sections look just like everything else in usine. And you won't realize your master is lost until you upgrade Usine! This is what happened to me. Not a big deal, unless you are on stage when you make the discovery!
Anyway, I think I have figured out how to make my master work with a new empty wkp, which was the first problem. And now I save the master regularly, which solves the other problem.
So no big deal to me...... but I think it is unnecessarily difficult to understand for newbies.
cheers, -e

hmmm. okay. I guess I don't understand the danger.....
For me, I can't understand why master out sections are not always saved with all wkps to begin with. Why would you not want this to happen?
the way i understand it :
master section is more about what you have in (micro, preamp, intru...) an out (sono, ampli...) of usine. 'normally', it's not much related to what you have inside a workspace, but more about preparing audio inputs and... mastering outputs.

If the setting is disabled, the info about the master of the loaded wkp would be ignored.
