we'll find something...
Small detail about colors: Why is it not possible to save my personal palette? Is it a bug of my OS?
Not yet implemented.

Would it be possible to make the background colour of the patch name user selectable?
That's of course a very good suggestion, very useful.
And, if it's not ask for too much, that color could be, by default, the same for the patch in the Sequencer time-line, ie. you could choose it indifferently in the track-view patch contextual menu (just like now) and/or in the Grid view (or Live view) on the label (Bj?rn's suggestion).
That should be closely examined: if colors are supposed to identify categories of patches and you create a track for patches of the same category, it may be visually confusing to have here many different blues or greens. In the other hand, it's much more convenient to see your patch with the same color when you switch from F1 to F2 (as you build your track), and when the Sequencer Live Mode updates, in live situation, you exactly know where you are just with a glance at colors.
Bj?rn will soon also begin to use tracks and I think he will have good suggestions for that point too. Anyway, if it's possible to change those colors in both views, we can choose the same or not... What do you think? Not too complicated?

What I wanted (and get in the next version), was a way of colour-coding patches to make navigating in a complex workspace a little simpler.

Olivier: what about making the new text field module have colour and size options just like the existing post-it?

1. In the patch, add a Text module from the Interface Design folder. Click on the newly added text box.
2. To the right, in the interface design slot, click on Edit, double-click on the default "TEXT" and type over it to name the patch, or use the space bar to enter 5-6 lines of blank space. Or enter the text and then use the space bar to add new blank lines. Click on OK.
3. Click on Color, choose the color you want, and click on OK.

There are of course drawbacks--
1. You can't put buttons, etc, over this newly colored area, since it's a text box. On the other, hand, if are using buttons, etc, you can color the buttons on each patch, instead of, or along with, the text box.

2. This procedure doesn't color the actual patch name at the top of the patch display, as you wanted, and it creates a duplicate of the patchname, but you can create a larger patch name this way, with larger text and a larger colored area that you can see more easily from a distance... In other words, it's actually better than just changing the color of the patch name.

This would make it possible to create some kind of colour coding for different types of patches, making the right patches a little bit easier to find.

...and by the way: I've forgotten to say thanks for the latest updates!
