did you get a chance to zero the inputs of audio input busses when they are disconnected?
this problem will be solved in the next major release.
If not, I suppose I will wait to upgrade....
please, it's not really an argument for me! This kind of modification can take more than 3 days to be implemented securely: development, test, package, etc.
Sometime modifications cost nothing : have 1024 VST parameters instead of 512 takes maximum 10 seconds. And others can take much more than appears, and yours needs a deep refoundation of the internal buses system.
So I must include it in a global development perspective, even if I loose an upgrade!
