Anyway i'm getting away with the idea of using a joystick: some button combinations aren't possible....buttons have pins in common (for example, button 1 and button 2 are linked to three pin on the joystick board - obviously one pin is common): when i keep them pressed at the same time, the electronics gets confused and does not know which button is being pressed....sounds like the electronics is designed for momentary buttons only, and this conflicts for the fact that i bought SWITCHES (vs BUTTONS) to build a guitar pedalboard (silly me)....

I could move the above observations to another thread, they could be useful fot other people...

I'll try to give more explanation as soon as possible but data's form depends on the device itself and I can't help you to decode your joystick.
