i know what you mean about energy loading fast, but i's nowhere near as capable as usine,
agree, you cant compare energy with usine.
and the new version is hopelessly buggy as far as i'm concerned - a real shame where that's gone...
very true. while 1.x was an innovative+elegant app, v2 became an ordinary, boring audio daw among dozens..
don't use phrazor or synthedit, but bidule takes ages to load on my machine!! maybe i've got it set up wrong?
with minimal configs bidule starts like a breeze here
usine is not a slow loading program of course. and I should see it in different audio setups running to be able to judge.
still I wonder what can cause long boot loading time? how could you speed up loading usine (and an empty workspace)? - thousands of vst .dll's would be one possible cause (I guess, usine scans all vst entries, new entries take longer)? - thousands of patch files? thousands of sound/midi files? thanks.

Remember that the master section is independent from the wkp. So you can put in the master section very big vst's (Altiverb, etc...) so they are loaded only once at the startup of Usine.
